If we had bought this house five years ago, I would have lamented the brass knobs, outlet covers, and hinges... but brass is back! Brass took a beating in the 2000s, but came through worn, a bit tarnished and oh so damn irresistible.
It's everywhere. Jewelry, flatware, lamps, knickknacks- grab a can of gold spray paint and make any Goodwill googaa look like bullion.
I found my goldmine at myknobs.com--- lovely, sleekly mod forms with warm dirty-brass tones. Our kitchen cabs are ready for the ball.
Is brass a trend? Will it go down in the annals of interior decor with moroccan poufs and "Keep Calm" posters? One can never know... but I don't see myself switching out these babies any time soon.
